A little bit about Bryan
I’m a fourth‑generation builder who grew up in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Around here, you learn pretty young that your work is a reflection of who you are. My dad and granddad taught me that if you’re going to build something, you build it right, and you stand behind it. That stuck with me.
I’ve loved this work since I was a kid. I was always around tools, job sites, and the kind of people who could fix anything with their hands and a little mountain grit. Over the years, that turned into a real passion — not just for building, but for doing things the right way.
I spent time in the production‑builder world, and honestly, it opened my eyes. Homeowners weren’t treated like people. They were treated like numbers. Decisions were driven by profit, not pride. Corners were cut, communication was an afterthought, and the final product didn’t reflect the care a home deserves. That never sat right with me.
So I stepped away and built something different.
That’s how The New Standard Construction started — with a simple idea: treat people right, communicate clearly, and put real craftsmanship back at the center of the job. When someone trusts me with their home, I take that personally. I commit my time, my energy, and my full attention to every project I take on.
I’ve had my share of setbacks, including an 18‑foot fall that could’ve ended all of this. Coming back from that changed me. It made me even more grateful for the work I get to do and the families I get to build for. It reminded me that this isn’t just a job — it’s part of who I am.
Today, I’m not just a builder. I’m a husband, a father, and someone who understands what a home means to a family. I don’t take that responsibility lightly. When you work with me, you’re getting someone who shows up, communicates, and treats your project like it matters — because it does.
These mountains raised me. This craft shaped me. And every home I work on is a chance to honor both.
